Christopher Wellborne
I’m a British American senior Supply Chain leader with a background in Hospitality and Supply Chain Management, based in Chicago, IL with my wife, three children and our puppy, Dug.
I was born and grew up in South-West England, before studying Politics & International Relations at Lancaster University. Afterwards I the had the privilege to work in and around Venice, Italy for two years, as part of a career for over 15 years in Hospitality which included working and eventually managing café’s, bars, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs.
In 2015 my wife, son and I emigrated to Chicago, IL where I started a new career in Supply Chain. I found a sector with unlimited opportunity but also a new passion – transferring skills honed through years of being customer facing and working in high pressure environments. I worked at a regional custom window manufacturer, where I got firsthand experience of production planning and demand management before moving to Dyson in 2018.
At Dyson I have been able to continue my professional growth, from starting in the US as a Senior Manager, promoted to Director and relocating to Toronto, Canada as Head of Supply Chain. In August 2023 I returned to the United States and have taken on a regional role as Head of Aftersales Operations for the Americas, connecting and leading our Commercial and Operations teams throughout North America to deliver a world-class aftersales experience.
In my time with the company I have specialized in building teams with a culture of high performance and, critically, inclusiveness with a focus on clear, transparent and accountable communication.
