Christopher Wellborne
As the Head of Logistics for the Americas at Dyson, I lead the strategic direction and operational execution of Supply Chain and Logistics functions across the Americas, having built on many years of senior leadership within Supply Chain and Hospitality.
I was born and grew up in South-West England, before studying Politics & International Relations at Lancaster University. Afterwards I worked in the United Kingdom and Italy, as part of a career for over 15 years in Hospitality which included leading business and growth in café’s, bars, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs.
In 2015 my wife, son and I emigrated to Chicago, IL where I started a new career in Supply Chain. I found a sector with unlimited opportunity but also a new passion – transferring skills honed through years of being customer facing and working in high pressure environments. I worked at a regional Custom Window Manufacturer, where I got firsthand experience of production planning and demand management before moving to Dyson in 2018.
At Dyson I have been able to continue my professional growth, from starting in the US as a Senior Manager, promoted to Director and relocating to Toronto, Canada as Head of Supply Chain. In 2023 I returned to the United States to take on a regional role as Head of Aftersales Operations, before being promoted again in 2024 to head up the Logistics function for the full Americas.
With a strong track record of driving efficiency, optimizing performance, and delivering exceptional service, as well as ensuring the seamless movement of products from manufacturing facilities to customers, while navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving global market.
In my time with the company I have specialized in building teams with a culture of high performance and, critically, inclusiveness with a focus on clear, transparent and accountable communication. This focus has enabled my teams to achieve both personal and professional growth.
Gaining my US Citizenship in 2019 was a proud moment and one that I had been looking forward to since moving - the opportunity to be a participant in the country I live in, as opposed to a spectator, was too big to miss.
I reside in Chicago, IL with my wife, three children and utterly daft dog, Dug. In my spare time you’ll find me cooking, playing music or exploring the great outdoors.
